First off, we at Dumball Rally USA would like to wish all a safe
and happy new year. 2009 was a great year for us and we hope that this
next one, Dumball Rally 2010 - Jackson Hole or Bust will be even more fun
and successful.
That being said, Dumball Rally USA would like to present our newest event - the inaugural "Dumball Lite."
This will be a half-day local rally in any street legal vehicle on
Saturday March 27th, 2010. No themes needed. Think of it as a warm-up to the big event in
June. Entry fee is only $25 per vehicle, as many players as you like.
The format will be a scaled down version of the same scoring system
that we use for our Main Event. For those that are interested in June's
Rally, this will be a great introduction to how we run our event and
how to master the tricks to scoring a lot of points. There will be
overall rally points objectives, leg specific objectives, team
challenges, plus bonuses.The big difference is you can use any reliable
vehicle and there will not be a safety van to follow. The route will be
through the rural outskirts of the greater Portland, OR area and divided into two
different legs. Your team's willingness to do ridiculous tasks and/or
put yourselves in compromising positions can be a huge help in scoring
big. Digital photography is a huge part of scoring points so you will
need a decent camera(s) with good memory and extra batteries.
Got some extra canned food? Bring us 10 cans to donate and we will credit you 10 points.
Prizes
will be awarded for both leg and overall winners. We will all convene
together at a Smokey's Pizza location for a Q&A and to crown the
winners and champion (lite).
We will have room for only 20 teams for Dumball Lite
and registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. All
drivers and passengers will need to sign a liability waiver, provide
proof of a drivers license for all drivers and proof of insurance for

Well, it looks like all systems are go for another rally. Destination Jackson Hole, WY June 16th - 18th, 2010. A few basics. $1000 limit on car. The cheaper, the better. It will be a three day drive and the cars will be auctioned or sold at end point with moneys raised going to a soon to be named charity.
We WILL HAVE A CAP of 15 entries allowed.
Here we go everyone: The rally is set Portland, OR 6/16(Wed) . We will drive and play for three days in order tor reach Jackson Hole, WY late 6/18 (Friday).......Route will be an easterly run through Idaho then some picturesque driving in Yellowstone National Park. You better hide the pik-a-nik baskets. A non-refundable $50 team fee will hold your spot. This will open up Oct. 15th, 2009. Player registration is $100.00 per person. Be aware there will be 2 (two) overnight stays on this trip before arrival in Jackson Hole, WY. Car value, well the cheaper the better! Please keep the value down under $1000 ( including improvements/ repairs/decorations ) as the car may suffer damage on the trip and the intent is to leave the cars behind and donate them for charity. Safety van(s) will follow if you have a terminal failure to assure arrival at end point. The more people involved ,the more money in the pot. The more money in the pot, the better the prizes. Prizes will be awarded for challenges along the way and at the Rally end (Grand Prize - $500 and a sweet trophy)......... A Few Rally Rules---------- ** A team car can't cost more than $1000.00 (including upgrades, but repairs while on route will be different), the cheaper the better....... ** Each car must have a theme ** Each team must submit $50 team fee ** Each participant must submit a $100.00entry fee ** Each Team will follow a predetermined course ** The ability to perform stupid acts will increase your ability to collect points ** If you get a speeding ticket, your will have points taken away ** However if you get a warning from the fuzz, you will get a bonus ** Every participant accepts liability for their actions, don't blame us we have enough problems
7/5/09 Defying all the odds, Dumball Rally 2009 - San Fran or Bust was a success. All nine teams safely got their rides to the finish line and three even came home. It was a grueling trip that had its moments of trepidation, but overall came off even better than the Vegas run. Thank you to all participants, safety crews, supporters, and onlookers for helping make this years event happen.
We will soon be starting the planning of a 2010 edition of Dumball Rally USA. If you are interested in joining the debauchery, go to the contact page and drop us a line. Spots will be limited.
